What follows is the framework we would use if we were on your side of the table, the difference between a marketing agency and a lead broker, and what is publicly known about the main options. Including where we are not the right fit.

How To Choose A Roofing Marketing Agency

Six things separate agencies in this category. Price is not one of them, because almost nobody publishes it and the number means nothing without knowing what it buys.

    Read This Accordingly

Most pages with this title are written by an agency that ranks itself first. This one is written by an agency too.
    01

    Specialization

Trades only or multi-industry. A specialist knows your seasonality without being told. A generalist brings patterns from industries yours has not solved.

    02

    Size Fit

Being the smallest account at a large firm is worse than being a typical account at a small one. Ask where you would fall in their client base.

    03

    Ownership Structure

Independent, private equity backed, or founder owned. Acquired agencies often change account teams and service levels within a year or two.

    04

What You Own At The End

Website, domain, content, tracking numbers, ad accounts, campaign history, and lead data. Get the answer in writing either way.

    05

    How They Measure

Impressions and rankings are activity. Calls, booked appointments, and revenue by source are outcomes.

    06

    Retail Versus Insurance

An agency that treats a storm claim and a planned replacement as the same lead will build campaigns that produce the wrong mix.

Questions To Ask Before You Sign

Ask these of every agency you talk to, including us. Get the answers in writing, because most disputes in this industry trace back to something that was clear in conversation and absent from the agreement.

    01

    Contract Length

How long is the agreement, and what does it cost to leave early

    02

    Asset Ownership

Who owns the website, domain, content, tracking numbers, ad accounts, and campaign data at termination

    03

    Who Does The Work

Is there an account manager between you and the people executing

    04

    Your Size Fit

Where would you fall in their client base, typical or an outlier

    05

    Reporting

Does monthly reporting connect spend to signed contracts or stop at leads

    06

    What Is Included

What is billed separately, and is ad spend inside the fee or on top

    07

    Storm Season

How do you handle the difference between storm season and the rest of the year

Marketing Agencies Versus Roofing Lead Brokers

These are different products and roofers conflate them constantly. Worth understanding before you evaluate anyone.

The practical difference: broker leads are a cost of sale. Agency work is an investment in an asset. Both can make sense. Running only broker leads means you have built nothing after five years of paying, and running only owned demand means slower ramp at the start.

    A Lead Broker

    Sells you contact information

    A Marketing Agency

Builds assets that generate leads for you

    A Lead Broker

The lead is usually sold to several contractors at once

    A Marketing Agency

The leads are exclusive to you

    A Lead Broker

Stops the day you stop paying

    A Marketing Agency

Keeps working for a while after the engagement ends

    A Lead Broker

    You are renting demand

    A Marketing Agency

    You are building an asset

Anyone selling you both should be clear about which is which on the invoice.

The Agencies Working In This Space

Listed alphabetically. No rankings. Everything below comes from each company's own public materials or public records, and nothing here should replace asking them directly.

    What Is Not Here

None of these companies except Hook Agency publishes pricing, and none of them publish standard contract terms. We are not going to estimate figures we cannot verify, and neither should any page you read. Ask each of them directly.

    Hook Agency

Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founder-led and independent, with roughly 30 people. Focused on home services with particular depth in roofing and HVAC. Publishes service pricing openly on its website, which almost no agency in this category does. Also markets optimization for AI-driven search results as a distinct service.

Appears built for: Contractors who want a specialist, value published pricing, and are comfortable with a boutique team.

    This is us

    LeadDriverPRO

Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Founder owned, independent, two founders. Home services only, across HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and electrical. Founded 2025. Both founders came out of construction rather than into it. Every client works directly with an owner.

Appears built for: Contractors who want direct owner access and revenue attribution, and who do not need enterprise scale.

    RYNO Strategic Solutions

Phoenix, Arizona. States on its site that it has served home services since 2008. Owned by EverService Holdings following a 2023 acquisition, and merged with Blue Corona, which was also an EverService company. Home services only. States on its website that clients own 100 percent of every asset created for them, including the website, code, content, and imagery. Google Premier Partner. Operates a proprietary tracking product.

Appears built for: Established contractors wanting a specialist with scale and a long track record in the trades.

    Scorpion

Salt Lake City area per its own materials, with offices in California, Texas, and New York. Founded 2001. Independent and acquisitive, having acquired another agency in 2026. Works across legal, healthcare, franchise, and home services, so it is not a trades specialist. Several hundred to over a thousand employees depending on the source. Offers a broad platform spanning websites, SEO, advertising, reviews, chat, lead management, and scheduling.

Appears built for: Multi-location and larger operations that want one vendor across the entire marketing and intake stack.

Where Each One Seems To Fit

There is no best roofing marketing agency. There is one that fits your size, your market, and how you want to work.

    • Multiple Locations, One Vendor

A large full-platform agency is the sensible choice. Scorpion is built for that. We are not, and we would tell you so on the first call.

    • A Specialist With Scale

RYNO has been in home services since 2008 and has the infrastructure that comes with size.

    • Published Pricing And A Boutique Team

Hook publishes its rates openly and works heavily in roofing, which removes a lot of friction from the evaluation.

    • Direct Owner Access And Real Attribution

That is what we built. It is also worth saying plainly that we are a young company with a small client base. Our client work currently spans HVAC, junk removal, window installation, excavation, framing, and painting, and roofing is a trade we are actively expanding into. If a long roster of roofing clients is what makes you comfortable, one of the others is the better call right now.

    • Under Roughly $500,000 In Revenue

None of us may be the right answer yet. A well-optimized Google Business Profile and a fast website will move more revenue at that stage than any retainer, and plenty of contractors handle that themselves. Ask any agency you talk to whether they would tell you that.

    • Storm Chasing And Canvassing

An agency may not change much in the short term. The case for owned demand is that it smooths the years between storms. If that is not a problem you have yet, it is reasonable to wait.

    What Actually Moves Roofing Revenue

Whoever you choose, the work that produces signed contracts is fairly consistent.

Search volume in roofing is larger than in the other trades we serve. The organic opportunity is real and it is the reason roofing rewards patience more than plumbing or HVAC do.

Retail work is what smooths the years between storms. Storm work is profitable and it is not something you control. Building visibility for planned replacement is the part you can influence, and it is what keeps crews busy in a quiet year.

The sales cycle is long enough that lead counts mislead. A roofing lead can sit for six weeks before a contract is signed. Any reporting that stops at lead volume will tell you a campaign failed when it has not closed yet.

Attribution across that timeline is what makes the numbers usable. If you cannot connect a signed contract back to the search that started it two months earlier, you are managing spend by instinct.

    Questions Contractors Ask

Most agencies in this category do not publish pricing, and we are not going to estimate figures for companies that have chosen not to publish them. One of the agencies listed here publishes its rates openly on its website. Ask each agency directly, and ask specifically whether ad spend is included in the fee or billed on top of it, because that changes the real number substantially.

Sometimes, and it depends on what else you are doing. Broker leads are usually shared with several contractors and the broker owns the homeowner relationship, so nothing accumulates and the leads stop the day you stop paying. Plenty of roofers run profitably on them anyway. The argument for owned demand is that after five years of broker spend you have built nothing, and after five years of search visibility you have an asset. Most roofers should probably do both.

A lead company sells contact information on a per-lead basis, usually shared with other contractors. A marketing agency builds assets that generate leads exclusively for you. One is a cost of sale, the other is an investment. Both can make sense, and anyone selling you both should be clear about which is which on the invoice.

Retail work comes from being visible to homeowners who are planning a replacement rather than reacting to a storm. That means search visibility for replacement terms, a Google Business Profile with steady reviews, and content that answers the questions people ask weeks before they call. It takes longer to build than storm response and it is what carries a company through a quiet year.
    Quick Summary
    • There is no single best roofing marketing agency. The right fit depends on your size, market, and how directly you want to work with the people doing the work.
    • A lead broker sells shared contact information on a per-lead basis. A marketing agency builds assets that generate exclusive leads. They are different products.
    • Most agencies in this category do not publish pricing. Hook Agency publishes rates openly on its website.
    • Ownership structure varies and is public information. Scorpion is independent and acquisitive, RYNO Strategic Solutions is owned by EverService Holdings, and Hook Agency and LeadDriverPRO are founder owned.
    • Before signing with any agency, get contract length, early termination cost, and asset ownership at termination in writing.
